Audio-Technica to hold presentations from Industry Veterans at NAB

This year at NAB, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (April 8-10, 2013), Audio-Technica’s booth C1711 will host five 30-minute audio instructional sessions throughout the day.

Dr. Fred Ginsburg, renowned industry veteran and specialist in production sound recording for motion pictures and video, will conduct two sessions each day. The first session will focus on microphone techniques and applications used for episodic television with a focus on multi-track recording, and the second session will be about techniques for rigging and attaching lavalier microphones to actors for film and video production.

EARS and SAE presents an interactive and educational screening of Sound City

Engineering And Recording Society of Chicago in partnership with SAE Institute Chicago is pleased to present a screening of Dave Grohl’s Sound City, a documentary the little-known recording studio which housed a unique recording console with a reputation for getting some of the best drum sounds ever recorded. The event wil be held on Tuesday, march 26th, at SAE Chicago theatre located at 820 North Orleans Street, Chicago, IL 60610.

Bob Katz, the one and the only, the legendary mastering engineer and owner of Digital Domain Mastering, George Massenburg (GML LLC and associate professor at McGill University, Montreal) Florian Camerer (Chairman of the EBU P/LOUD Group), John C. Atkinson (Stereophile Magazine) and Thomas Lund (HD Development Manager at TC Electronic) set out to investigate whether the wrong medicine has been given during the Loudness Wars.

TC Electronic to Host Loudness Seminar – Dubai Calling

With the recent rise of international broadcast standards, loudness has become one of the most important and debated topics in broadcast today.
